Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) is a regulator and master developer of industrial zones and both commercial and community ports. Founded in 2006 as part of the restructuring of the commercial ports sector in the Emirate by Emiri Decree No. 6 of 2006 in Abu Dhabi, ADPC acts as an enabler for development and trade apart from facilitating its contribution to the diversification of the national economy.
Since its inception, Abu Dhabi Ports has emerged as one of the most progressive companies in Abu Dhabi. It has been accredited with the development of several ports such as Al Sila and Khalifa Port, which is the only semi-automated port in the Middle East. ADP continues to develop its range of smaller and highly-valued ports, mainly in Abu Dhabi and the Western Region.
