Application Engineer – HVAC Westinghouse

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic HVAC Product & Application Engineer to join our growing team and drive our product strategy forward. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing client project requirements, identifying optimal product sourcing solutions, costing of the solution and defining our comprehensive product range to meet market demands. You'll work at the intersection of engineering excellence and business strategy, ensuring our clients receive the most suitable HVAC solutions for their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Engineering

• Evaluate client project specifications and technical requirements to identify optimal HVAC product solutions pertaining to heat load calculations and system design

• Sound and indepth knowledge of HVAC design and application across all technologies of Central Air Conditioning ; Chilled Water Systems, VRF Systems, DX & Evaporative Cooling

• Research and assess potential suppliers, manufacturers, and product alternatives across Far East, Middle East, Europe and Americas

• Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for HVAC technologies. Indepth Knowledge in HVAC System Cost estimation is a must

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes

Product Range Development

• Define and develop our comprehensive HVAC product portfolio based on market analysis and client feedback across Middle East and Africa.

• Establish product specifications, performance standards, and quality benchmarks as per compliance requirements

• Collaborate with suppliers to customize products or develop exclusive solutions as per proejct requirements

• Create detailed product documentation, technical specifications, and selection guides

Client & Project Support

• Work directly with project teams and clients to understand specific HVAC requirements

• Provide technical expertise during the product selection and specification process

• Support business development efforts by identifying new product opportunities

• Troubleshoot product-related issues and recommend solutions

Strategic Planning

• Monitor market trends and competitor products to inform strategic decisions

• Develop product roadmaps aligned with company growth objectives

• Participate in vendor negotiations and contract discussions

• Contribute to pricing strategies and margin optimization
