"This project represents the stepping stone of BCG’s origins domestically, this was the first paved causeway through the barren desert in northern Emirates that connected Sharjah to Ras Al-Khaimah via Ajman and Umm Al-Quwain in 1968. The road was built over a 170 km stretch, using advanced techniques for long-term sand stabilization that improve structural integrity and avoid drifting sands during storms and high wind gusts. BCG also supplied the most premium of tarmacs available at the time of construction that met the highest standards to ensure the safety and comfort of the users.
