- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the fresh produce supply chain, focusing on direct sourcing and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and achieve revenue targets for fresh produce categories, including niche and specialty items.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key clients, including retailers, wholesalers, and food service providers, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in the fresh produce industry.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers and customers, ensuring profitability and favorable terms for the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and quality control, to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
- Oversee the procurement of fresh produce, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, build relationships, and stay informed about market developments.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, certifications, and industry best practices related to fresh produce sourcing and sales.

- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Science, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in business principles and industry knowledge.
- Demonstrates 2+ years of progressive experience in business development or sales, with a specific focus on the fresh produce sector, showcasing practical expertise.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of fresh produce varieties, seasonality, and quality standards, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Holds relevant certifications such as HACCP, or Food Safety certifications, demonstrating a commitment to industry best practices.
- Displays exceptional negotiation and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and develop effective business strategies.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software, facilitating efficient data management and reporting.
- Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
- Possesses fluency in English; additional language proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) is highly desirable, enabling effective communication.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders in the fresh produce industry.
