Job Purpose:
To establish and grow International Business of Ice creams in conjunction with HAP management expectations and direction. The Export Manager is responsible for developing and executing international sales strategies to expand the company's presence in New and Existing markets within the MEA Region (Middle East & Africa Region). This role manages all aspects of the export process, from market research and distributor relationships to liaisoning with production, overseeing logistics and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, with special attention to cold chain requirements.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Market Scan and Expansion
o Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve export sales targets and penetrate new international markets.
o Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, including analyzing market demand, competitor activity, and consumer trends for ice cream products.
o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with international clients, distributors, and agents.
o Conduct field visit assessment of Potential New Markets for Arun Ice cream and provide a consolidated market intelligence report covering market dynamics, demographics and competition landscape to aid in the market entry decision. o Identification of suitable Distributors with the requisite profile/capability.
2. Business Planning & Distribution Management
o Build the requisite infrastructure in line with business objective. o Engagement & Align business goals with Distribution Partners, Key Customers
o Implement robust Sales Systems & processes to measure and monitor progress. o Promotion Planning, Customer Program for all Markets
o Exercise commercial discipline, timely PO’s and processing. o Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for export orders, including inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and contract closure.
o Forecast quarterly/ annual sales revenue and prepare, manage the export sales budget.
o Represent the company at international trade fairs and promotional events to generate leads and strengthen brand presence.
o Ensure Product visibility, storage & representation in Store as per HAP guidelines.
o Periodic assessment of market price compliance by Distribution Partners.
o Opportunity assessment in terms of new geography expansion, product/category.
o Ensuring stock freshness by close monitoring of stock age.
3. Logistics and Sales Operations
o Oversee all export operations and logistics, including coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and cold storage facilities.
o Manage the cold chain process to ensure the ice cream remains frozen during transit and meets international temperature standards.
o Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
o Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
4. Documentation & Reporting Systems
o Ensure all export activities fully comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and food safety standards (e.g., Food Safety Requirements, Labeling Norms Halal certification, Health Certificates).
o Coordinate with Commercial team on meeting all necessary export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
o Liaise with local customs authorities and government bodies to resolve any clearance issues and secure export benefits wherever applicable. o Implement robust Sales Systems & processes to measure and monitor progress.
o Weekly Tour Plans
o Monthly Primary & Secondary Sales tracking by Export Unit. Customer wise billing trends.
o Track and report operational efficiency, Marketing effectivity, Supply Chain, Quality Standards to BPO.
o Review of Customer Financial Health for proactive and timely action.
o Sales Performance Report at 10-day intervals for the month to BPO/MD
5. Team Management & Training
o Supervise and mentor a team of Distributor Sales & Operations Staff, providing guidance and training.
o Monitor and analyze export performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Manage and motivate the team for effective delivery of business results
o Ensure Policy adherence and work discipline among team.
o Train and align team on SOP for the business unit.
6. IT Adoption
o Effective use of IT Systems and automation tools to track and manage business.
Key Interactions
o Internal –BPO’s, IT, Accounts & Audit, Admin, Production & Supply Chain teams
o External – Distribution Partners, Trade Customers & Vendors
7.Minimum Requirements
1. Education & Experience – Bachelors Degree with min 10-15 year experience in managerial role within FMCG/Dairy Industry in GCC Markets. Experience with cold chain logistics is essential.
2. Language Proficiency – English, Tamil & Malayalam. (local language is added advantage)

o Strong understanding of international trade regulations, export documentation, Channel management and global market dynamics. o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation o Exhibit strong collaborative & interpersonal skills with the ability to drive consensus both internally and externally.
Salary -AED 11,000.
UAE Driving License mandatory
