Role & responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities
• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans
• Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection)
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and systems
• Investigate and respond to security breaches and conduct root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.)
• Stay updated with evolving threat landscapes and recommend preventive measures
  

Preferred candidate profile:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and protocols
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps principles
• Certifications like CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer are highly preferred
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, cryptography, and secure coding
• Excellent analytical and incident response skills
• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field
