حول Dubai South

Dubai South, formerly known as Dubai World Central, is a large-scale urban development project launched by the Government of Dubai in 2006. The development covers an area of 145 square kilometres within the emirate of Dubai and is planned to ultimately support a population of one million people. Dubai South is mandated to reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and is developed in alignment with the urban and societal themes set out in the Dubai Plan 2021, which include creating an environment for happy, creative, and empowered residents; building an inclusive and cohesive society; establishing Dubai as the preferred destination to live, work, and invest; developing a smart and sustainable city; and positioning Dubai as a central hub in the global economy. Dubai South's economic platform is designed to accommodate all categories of business and industry, and the city is home to Al Maktoum International Airport, which is planned to be the world's largest airport upon completion, as well as having served as the host location for World Expo 2020.
