1. Supervision & Site Management

• Supervise duct installation teams on site, including sheet metal workers and helpers.

• Ensure HVAC ducting works follow approved shop drawings and project specifications.

• Monitor daily work progress and manpower productivity.

• Allocate tasks and resources effectively to meet project schedules.

2. Installation & Technical Oversight

• Ensure proper installation of ducts, fittings, and accessories.

• Oversee duct supports, hangers, and insulation installation.

• Check alignment, leveling, and joint quality for ducts.

• Ensure connections to air handling units (AHUs), FCUs, and diffusers are correct.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all ducting work complies with SMACNA standards, project specifications, and UAE regulations.

• Conduct inspections and identify defects or non-conformance.

• Coordinate with QA/QC Mechanical Engineer for approvals and NCR closure.

• Maintain quality records and site inspection reports.

4. Safety & Site Practices

• Enforce strict adherence to site safety policies and use of PPE.

• Conduct daily safety briefings with ducting team.

• Identify potential hazards during ducting installation and take preventive measures.

• Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and lifting devices.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and other trades.

• Provide regular progress updates to the Site Engineer / Project Engineer.

• Assist in resolving technical or site-related issues promptly.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC ducting installation in high-rise buildings.

• Familiarity with SMACNA standards and HVAC specifications.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and shop drawings.

• Knowledge of duct insulation, supports, and fixing techniques.

• Skilled in supervising a team of duct installers and helpers.
