Electrical Draughtsman Plus Palace General Contracting LLC

The Electrical Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts for electrical systems in construction projects. This role requires ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards while collaborating closely with engineers, consultants, and project teams to produce high-quality and accurate drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting

• Develop and prepare detailed electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) shop drawings, including lighting, power, and distribution layouts, as per project requirements.
• Create layouts for electrical control systems, low-current systems (CCTV, Access control, data cabling, etc.), and related infrastructure.
• Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, SEWA, and other local authority regulations.
• Update drawings to reflect approved design modifications and prepare As-Built drawings upon project completion.

Project Coordination and Documentation

• Coordinate with project engineers and MEP teams to gather design inputs and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in preparing material submittals, technical data sheets, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain an organized library of project drawings and ensure proper documentation control.
• Support project teams during inspections by providing necessary drawings and implementing feedback updates.

Compliance and Standards

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in all design outputs.
• Stay updated on the latest electrical codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other tasks as instructed by the direct line manager.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying areas for efficiency in drafting and design processes.
