About the Role

AllUp is looking for a Director of Technology who is deeply hands-on, technically strong, and confident representing technology in front of enterprise customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

This is not a passive leadership role.

We are looking for a senior technologist and solution architect who has built and scaled SaaS platforms, led large engineering teams, and can clearly articulate architecture, AI decisions, and trade-offs at both technical and business levels.

What You Will Do

Technology & Architecture

• Own and evolve AllUp s SaaS platform architecture.
• Design and review microservices-based systems that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Be hands-on with AWS architecture and cloud services.
• Lead architectural decisions across APIs, data, integrations, and platform scalability.
• Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, security, and observability.

AI-Driven Product Development

• Contribute hands-on experience in building SaaS products using AI.
• Clearly explain previous AI use-cases, implementation choices, and real production outcomes.
• Partner with product and business teams to translate AI opportunities into real features.

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and scale engineering teams of 25+ people.
• Manage senior engineers and engineering managers.
• Establish strong engineering processes, accountability, and delivery discipline.
• Mentor future technical leaders.

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

• Represent AllUp s technology confidently in front of:
  
  • Customers
  • Partners
  • Internal stakeholders
• Explain complex technical topics in clear business language.
• Support enterprise sales and customer discussions when needed.

Problem Solving & Ownership

• Take full ownership of technical challenges from design to production.
• Be hands-on during complex issues or critical incidents.
• Drive solutions, not excuses.

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• 5+ years leading technology teams in a SaaS company.
• Proven experience managing 25+ engineers.
• Strong background as a hands-on solution architect (not only people management).
• Solid experience with:
  
  • Microservices architecture
  • AWS (recent, hands-on projects)
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling SaaS products using AI.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Confident, presentable, and stakeholder-ready.
