Job Title: Global Sales Head - Global Dealer & Distribution Network | Backhoe Loader
Experience: 20+ Years
Location: Anywhere in India / Dubai (Frequent International Travel)
About the Company
The Backhoe Loader brand of client, is poised for rapid global expansion in the Backhoe Loader, Earthmoving, and Mining Equipment segment. Backed by companies strong manufacturing and engineering capabilities, we aim to establish a robust international distribution footprint across high-potential markets.
We are seeking a senior industry leader to spearhead global sales, dealer development, and market expansion across Africa, East Asia, South America, and the Middle East.
Role Overview
The Senior Sales & Business Development Leader will be responsible for building and scaling the complete dealer & distribution network across international markets. This role requires deep experience in construction and mining equipment sales, an existing network of dealers, and a strong understanding of global channel development.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven business builder who has successfully launched or scaled heavy equipment brands internationally and can lead a full-fledged sales organization from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Dealer Network Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-potential dealers and distributors across Africa, South America, East Asia, and the Middle East.
- Develop a structured dealer selection framework and partnership model tailored to each geography.
- Negotiate dealer agreements, performance targets, and commercial frameworks.
2. Sales Leadership & Market Expansion
- Drive strategic market entry plans and annual sales targets across assigned regions.
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies for Backhoe Loaders and upcoming product lines.
- Conduct detailed market mapping, competitor benchmarking, and demand estimation for each region.
3. Business Growth & Channel Performance
- Ensure dealer enablement through sales training, product demos, customer outreach, and marketing support.
- Track monthly dealer performance, pipeline, and order bookings.
- Strengthen aftermarket support strategies to improve dealer profitability and customer satisfaction.
4. Leadership & Team Building
- Hire, mentor, and grow regional sales teams as business expands.
- Establish a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, reporting systems, and review mechanisms.
- Work closely with product, service, supply chain, and leadership teams to align business priorities.
5. Strategic Partnerships & Key Accounts
- Engage with large contractors, rental companies, mining operators, and government bodies to drive bulk orders.
- Participate in global trade fairs, exhibitions, and international sales events.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience
- 18+ years of total experience in Sales, Business Development, or Channel Management.
- Minimum 15 years in Construction & Mining Equipment industry, specifically with Excavators, Loaders, Backhoe Loaders, Dozers, Cranes, or similar capital machinery.
- Proven track record of building dealer networks in international markets.
- Strong relationships across Africa, Middle East, South America, and East Asia dealers & distributors.
Skills & Attributes
- Deep understanding of heavy equipment sales cycles, channel economics, dealer profitability, and product positioning.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and build systems and teams from the ground up.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively (50 to 70%).
