Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement instructional activities that cause all students to be actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences related to the approved curriculum.

Identify, select, use, modify and assess instructional strategies, materials and resources to engage students with varying needs, backgrounds, and learning styles in learning.

Assist in assessing the need for changing curricular content needs and designs and offers plans for improving learning and curriculum through collaborative and researched based settings.

Maintain effective and efficient student record keeping procedures and follows ENS grading and recordkeeping policies.

Use appropriate professional judgment in maintaining confidentiality in discussions concerning student information.

Establish a positive classroom environment that encourages students to be actively engaged in the learning process.

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, colleagues, and other professionals on a routine and regular basis.

Collaborate with peers to improve learning for students.

Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, administrators, and community members.

Ensure that student academic growth is continuous and reflects the learners ability, skills, age, subject knowledge, and/or program classification.

Participate in professional development training and presentations in their field and programs reflecting ENS philosophy. 2

Meet professional obligations by demonstrating and modeling work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating events, grading student papers, participating in professional development.

Implement useful diagnostic and progress assessment measures.

Perform certain pastoral duties including, but not limited to, student academic and behavioral support, counseling students with academic and behavioral problems and providing student encouragement.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.

Experience: Minimum of two years successful teaching experience.

Education / Certifications: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution. Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district, state or country. Possess single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject. Transcripts should indicate content and teaching preparation at a highly qualified level in both teaching areas and pedagogy (teacher education).

Technical Competencies: Possesses strong oral and written communication skills. Works independently with little direct supervision. Works as part of a team. Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated. Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve academy goals. Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skill. Enjoys working with children/young adults. Can follow directions. Treats all people with respect. Good decision making skills. Good problem solving skills. Is empathetic. Understands and uses technology in the classroom including in instruction, management of information, data analysis, etc.
