Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of master plans, land use plans, zoning layouts, development frameworks, and planning reports for a range of projects.
• Develop site planning strategies that address circulation, access, mobility, land use efficiency, public realm, infrastructure integration, and future expansion.
• Coordinate with architecture, landscape, roads, utilities, transportation, and infrastructure teams to ensure an integrated planning approach.
• Review client briefs, site constraints, applicable regulations, and project objectives to develop viable planning options.
• Prepare concept planning deliverables including site analysis, area statements, development controls, phasing plans, and design narratives.
• Ensure planning proposals align with local authority requirements, urban design guidelines, and project-specific development regulations.
• Participate in meetings with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to present planning concepts and obtain feedback.
• Support the preparation of technical submissions, reports, and presentation materials for project approvals and client reviews.
• Review and coordinate planning-related inputs from subconsultants and specialist disciplines.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, vision plans, and strategic planning exercises where required.
• Monitor planning deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and timely submission.
• Provide technical guidance to junior planners and support internal team development.

Key Duties in Project Delivery

• Conduct site analysis and planning assessments.
• Prepare concept and detailed master planning layouts.
• Develop land use distribution and urban structure plans.
• Coordinate plot layouts, road hierarchy, access strategy, and utility corridor integration.
• Assist in authority submissions and respond to review comments.
• Support project managers in planning schedules, client coordination, and design management.

Qualifications

• Bacheloru2019s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, or a related discipline.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of master planning principles, urban development frameworks, and land use planning.
• Good knowledge of UAE planning regulations and authority submission processes.
• Strong coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to prepare planning reports, presentations, and technical narratives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good design awareness and understanding of buildability and infrastructure coordination.
