The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is the Saudi government ministry responsible for developing and regulating the Kingdom's communications and information technology sector. A central architect of Saudi Arabia's digital transformation under Vision 2030, MCIT has overseen landmark initiatives including the National Digital Transformation Program, Saudi Cloud Computing Policy, broadband expansion, and cybersecurity frameworks. The ministry also supports the growth of the local technology sector by enabling digital startups, investing in digital skills development, and attracting international technology companies to establish regional operations in the Kingdom.
