Packing Foreman – Broiler Poultry Processing Plant SHARJAH AGRICULTURAL AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION EST (EKTIFA)

Packing Operations

• Supervise daily packing operations including cutting, deboning, portioning, weighing, tray sealing, vacuum/MAP packing, labeling, and dispatch preparation. - Ensure smooth operation of automated and semi-automated packing lines, including Linco systems or similar poultry processing technologies. - Monitor packing efficiency, yields, giveaway, line speed, and manpower utilization. - Ensure product specifications, weights, labeling, and shelf-life requirements comply with UAE regulatory and customer standards. - Coordinate with slaughter, chilling, cold store, QA, and logistics teams to maintain continuous product flow.

Packing Machine Operation & Troubleshooting

• Ensure correct machine setup, start-up, changeover, and shutdown in accordance with SOPs and WI. - Perform first-level troubleshooting of packing machines including weighers, sealers, conveyors, metal detectors, portioning systems, and printers. - Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities. - Minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and quick response to operational issues.

Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE food safety laws. - Enforce HACCP plans, ISO standards, GMP, GHP, SOPs, SSOPs, and Work Instructions. - Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), Quality Control Points (QCPs), and metal detection processes. - Ensure hygiene, sanitation, allergen control, traceability, FIFO/FEFO, and segregation of non-conforming products. - Support internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits.

Occupational Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations and company safety policies. - Enforce machine safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of PPE. - Report, investigate, and support corrective actions for incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. - Promote a strong safety culture within packing operations.

Documentation & Systems

• Ensure accurate completion of packing, quality, food safety, and safety records. - Use ERP systems for production reporting, material consumption, yield tracking, and inventory control. - Prepare shift-wise and daily packing performance reports for management review.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Practices

• Support implementation of Lean methodologies, 5S, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives. - Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

People Management

• Supervise, train, and motivate packing operators and helpers. - Conduct on-the-job training on food safety, hygiene, machine operation, and SOP compliance. - Ensure discipline, attendance, and compliance with company policies and UAE labor regulations.
