Job Overview

Melodica Music Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Acoustic Piano Technician with strong expertise in piano repairs and restoration. This role focuses primarily on the maintenance, repair, regulation, and performance optimization of upright and grand acoustic pianos across our UAE branches.

The ideal candidate is passionate about craftsmanship, understands the mechanical complexity of acoustic pianos, and can ensure that every instrument meets professional performance standards for lessons, exams, and concerts.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcoustic Piano Repair & Restoration (Primary Focus)

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in upright and grand pianos

• Perform action rebuilding, hammer replacement, key leveling, and damper regulation

• Replace broken strings and perform precision string splicing

• Repair or replace worn felts, bushings, and action components

• Address soundboard, bridge, and structural concerns when required

• Conduct pitch raises and fine tunings to concert standards

• Restore older instruments to optimal playing condition

Tuning, Regulation & Voicing

• Perform regular tuning services for all acoustic pianos

• Execute full regulation of piano actions for optimal touch and responsiveness

• Voice hammers to achieve balanced tone quality across the keyboard

• Prepare instruments for performances, examinations, and recitals

Digital Piano Support (Secondary Responsibility)

• Conduct basic troubleshooting of digital pianos

• Diagnose minor electronic and key-action issues

• Coordinate advanced electronic repairs with external specialists when necessary

Documentation & Branch Support

• Maintain detailed service logs and maintenance records

• Provide condition reports and recommend repair schedules

• Travel across various Melodica branches in the UAE

• Ensure all instruments are performance-ready at all times
