Product Engineer - Calypso

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform
• Work on Calypso scripting, APIs, and customization
• Collaborate with business stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, and Operations
• Handle trade lifecycle management including trade capture, validation, settlement, and reporting
• Develop and support integration frameworks using REST APIs, FIX, and Kafka
• Work on pricing, valuation, and risk calculations
• Manage scheduled tasks, workflows, and engine configurations
• Ensure system stability, performance tuning, and issue resolution
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and production support

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Calypso
• Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and core modules
• Experience with Calypso APIs and scripting
• Solid knowledge of Equity and Treasury products, including:
• FX / Money Market
• Bonds / Repo
• Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
• Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
• Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
• Good understanding of trade lifecycle processes
• Experience in settlement, accounting, reporting, workflows, and scheduled tasks
• Hands-on experience with Front Office module (Workstation, Pricing Sheet)
• Strong programming skills in Core Java
• Good experience with Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL)
• Understanding of REST API frameworks
• Familiarity with real-time integration patterns (FIX/Kafka)

Good to Have

• Experience with Calypso Risk Modules (ERS, Limits)
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB
• Exposure to banking or financial services domain in GCC
