Project Estimator / Quantity Surveyor MALABAR INTERIORS AND CONTRACTING LLC SPC

I. Cost Estimation & Tendering

1. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and detailed budget proposals for potential and live projects (interior fit-out, MEP, civil works).
2. Conduct meticulous quantity take-offs (MTO) from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
3. Analyze tender documents, specifications, and scope of work to identify risks and opportunities.
4. Manage the entire bidding process, including sending out RFQs, receiving quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and conducting commercial evaluations.
5. Prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender submission documents.

II. Cost Management & Control

1. Monitor and control project expenditures against approved budgets, providing regular financial reports to management.
2. Perform cost analysis and value engineering to propose cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or design intent.
3. Review, evaluate, and certify interim payment applications from subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Manage and process variation orders (V.O.s), claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to contractual terms.
5. Support the procurement team in negotiating rates and terms for major materials and services.

III. Contract Administration

1. Ensure all contractual and commercial obligations are met throughout the project duration.
2. Liaise with the project team, clients, and consultants regarding all cost and contractual matters.
3. Prepare and settle final accounts with subcontractors, suppliers, and the client in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date database of current market rates for materials, labor, and equipment.
