Rebar Detailer J10 Consulting FZ LLE

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for 3 well experienced Rebar Detailers to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Rebar Detailer with strong CAD and structural draughting proficiency working on high profile projects in the UAE with preference given to those with prior experience working for recognised Main Contracting Companies

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• A Rebar Detailer specializes in creating detailed reinforcement drawings for concrete structures. Develop precise reinforcement layouts that guide the fabrication and placement of rebar (reinforcing bars).
• Preparing Reinforcement Drawings: Create detailed drawings showing the placement, size, shape, and spacing of rebar within concrete elements such as slabs, beams, columns, walls, and foundations.
• Develop shop and fabrication drawings for rebar manufacturers.
• Interpreting Structural Plans: Read and analyze structural drawings to accurately detail reinforcement requirements.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and designers to ensure reinforcement details match design intent.
• Using CAD and Rebar Detailing Software: Utilize specialized software like AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or dedicated rebar detailing programs to produce accurate reinforcement drawings. Ensure drawings are properly labeled, organized, and conform to industry standards.
• Detailing Reinforcement Specifications: Specify rebar sizes, lengths, bends, hooks, and placement details. Create bending schedules, bar lists, and material take-offs.
• Ensuring Code Compliance: Ensure reinforcement details meet local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Incorporate structural safety and durability considerations.
• Coordination and Communication: Work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to clarify reinforcement details. Incorporate revisions and feedback into drawings.
• Revising and Updating Drawings: Update reinforcement drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or project requirements.
• Maintain version control and documentation of revisions. Supporting Fabrication and Construction: Provide detailed shop drawings to rebar fabricators and installers.
• Assist in resolving fabrication or placement issues during construction.
• Material Estimation and Scheduling: Prepare material lists and schedules for ordering reinforcement materials. Support procurement by providing precise quantities and specifications.
• Quality Control and Documentation: Review drawings for accuracy and completeness. Maintain organized records of reinforcement drawings and related documentation.
