Work in conjunction with EGIT to perform research and design on implementing state-of-art Airline Management methodologies used in airlines and other related industries to drive significant incremental revenue for Emirates. Through careful innovation, work with EGIT to adapt the Revenue Forecasting, Revenue Planning, Offer and Order, and Revenue Optimization systems to evolving business processes and network growth at Emirates.

Envisage, adapt and evolve the business processes, data and systems usage in the Commercial department. Ensure that the business processes and systems operate in tandem to maximise revenue opportunities for Emirates. Support Senior Management, route managers and route area teams as well as other departmental needs around revenue optimisation. Run analytics for various what-if scenarios, business contingencies, and impact analyses and reacting to unanticipated business conditions ensuring timely decision-making leading to quantum revenue gains and cost savings for the business.

Audit the functioning and usage of existing systems to identify any shortfalls and providing training to users to ensure maximum utilisation of the systems. Design business specifications for new system enhancements through a cross-functional steering group. Ensure data and process consistency with other commercial systems. Conduct internal surveys of various commercial systems and benchmark EK practices against other airlines for implementing best practices, drive efficiency and to be cost effective.

Manage the day to day business system administration of systems through System Superintendents to ensure that systems are tuned to make the correct decisions to optimise the revenue of Emirates. Ensure that the system parameters and filters of commercial systems are in line with the changing business requirements.

Execute 'make vs. buy' analyses for new development. Evaluate new systems available through external vendors for suitability of implementing in-house to provide the best cost effective commercial decision support systems to Emirates. Support EGIT in the systems development process and conduct user acceptance testing on new systems and new releases to ensure that the systems meet the business requirements.

Identify the user training requirements for new and existing systems and co-ordinate/support the training department in delivering the training ('train the trainers'). Design and conduct training programs for Commercial teams to enable them to extract maximum benefits out of the systems. Document all systems development and user manuals/online help as applicable.br>

Support Revenue generation by implementing, support and maintenance of codeshares, GDS products , B2B, B2C products, Ancillary products, Frequent flyer partnerships and inventory schedules related products. Enhance customer experience on Disruption handling, notifications and chauffeur drive products. Ensure compliance with government and industry standards and mandates. Continously improve process efficiency using best available technology solutions for both internal and external interfaces and peripheral systems surrounding the PSS. Accountabilities for the uptime and health of the PSS including spending on enhancements. Supporting Order Management, integrity, links from offer management and to financial and delivery management.

Execute the optimisation process of the Company's revenue plan through the Revenue Planning System by formulating the capacity constraint equations using statistical methods to generate optimal passenger revenue Targets for the entire Commercial department.

Sales Steering, Business Intelligence and Decision Support Accountabilities, monitor reporting of current Commercial Measures and KPI's across all network dimensions for errors and deviations. And use 'what if' scenarios and fine tune the system parameters to enhance the accuracy and reliability. This function is important as accurate commercial performance reporting are crucial to commercial decision-making and sales steering.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or equivalent with strong background in mathematics.
  • Experience: 8+ years experience in the field of Commercial, PSS, Revenue Optimisation, or GDS.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Computer Science or equivalent with strong background in mathematics.
  • Experienced in the field of Information technology / Revenue management / Commercial Forecasting / PSS within an airline environment.
  • Knowledge of revenue, offer and order management methodologies, applied operations research and statistical analysis. Must be experienced in implementing major IT systems from user perspective, preferably in the areas of offer, order, inventory control and Revenue Management.
  • Must be thoroughly proficient with usage of sophisticated state of the art software with web application experience. Must also have good exposure to Operations research, applied operations research, PSS revenue management and statistical research.
  • Demonstrable experience in system related total quality management (TQM) consisting of system assurance standards and quality checking.
