Senior Engineer L2 (EDA)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer L2 (EDA) to join our Managed Services team in Oman.

The role is part of the 2nd Level Assurance function, responsible for end-to-end technical support of Provisioning and Mediation systems, ensuring service continuity, fault resolution, and system stability.

You will act as an escalation point for complex issues, supporting front-office teams and collaborating closely with vendors, development teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities for EDA and EMM nodes, including health checks, alarm configuration, and automation of routine tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, patching, and software upgrades.
• Analyze and resolve production fallout orders, including:
  • Data manipulation
  • SQL scripting & database updates
  • XML reformulation to unblock provisioning flows
• Analyze order rejections, assess revenue impact, and report defects.
• Support requirements gathering for new enhancements and changes.
• Assist development teams during testing and deployment phases.
• Handle Trouble Tickets (TTs) and Customer Service Requests (CSRs) in line with SLA/WLA.
• Coordinate with vendors and external suppliers for critical hardware/software issues.
• Maintain and update solution documents and operational procedures.
• Provide end-to-end troubleshooting across:
  • EDA platform
  • Fault, configuration, user, and software/hardware management
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support and emergency handling.
• Manage customized Business Objects, templates, and reports.
• Coordinate with local SPOCs, customization teams, and third-party hardware providers.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Strong experience in Ericsson Dynamic Activator (EDA) and Ericsson Multi Mediation (EMM).
• Deep understanding of EDA architecture, provisioning flows, and adaptations.
• Strong knowledge of EMM architecture, mediation flows, and customizations.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Oracle databases, and bulk data fixes.
• Strong Linux/UNIX system administration skills.
• Intermediate scripting skills (Shell, AWK, PERL).
• Solid understanding of GSM / WCDMA technologies.
• Good understanding of Core Telecom Networks and BSS domain.
• Experience with Order Management and Provisioning Flows.
• Knowledge of release management and source control systems.
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Java
  • Shell scripting
  • SOAP UI
  • SOAP APIs
  • Git
• Experience with Integration, Commissioning, and Administration of EDA (preferred).
• Administrator-level experience with Business Objects, Citrix, or similar tools.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • 5 7 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience working on EMA/EDA systems
