Senior Foreman – HVAC Drydocks World

Responsible to plan, assign and communicate HVAC jobs to Foremen in order to meet set milestones and to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Day-to-day operations:

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure that the work performed is in compliance with approved drawings, manufacturer specifications, and written and/ or verbal instructions. .

• Liaise with other discipline Foreman / Supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.

• Review of customer documents, specifications, and drawings and ensure installation and repair activities are in line with approved procedures, method statements and approved drawings. .

• Oversee installation, overhaul and troubleshooting of motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source.

• Responsible for preparing and review of HVAC related procedures and documents including test packs.

• Carryout site inspection and surveys and prepare estimates. .

• Supervise air balancing and water balancing for the HVAC system.

• Assist the Lead Engineer in planning activities and ensure that all the resource and manpower planning is conducted to meet project requirements.

• Independently perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of the HVAC equipment and refrigeration system.

• Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.

• Perform inspections to ensure that the Foremen and Workers performance is up to the set standards.

• Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the Engineer or Lead /Manager i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.

• Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement, motivate and develop subordinates.

• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
