Steel Erection Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Site Erection Engineer with strong experience in steel structure erection and steel fabrication works for ongoing projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute steel structure erection works at site

• Coordinate erection of columns, beams, trusses, platforms, stairs, handrails

• Read and interpret shop drawings, GA drawings, and erection drawings

• Coordinate with fabrication team, site supervisors, foreman, and crane operators

• Ensure erection is carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, and safety standards

• Monitor site progress, manpower, and material availability

• Handle alignment, leveling, bolting, welding inspection during erection

• Coordinate with QA/QC and Safety teams for inspections

• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates

• Resolve site technical issues related to steel erection

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s in Civil / Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 2 years UAE experience in steel structure & steel fabrication projects

• Strong knowledge of steel erection procedures

• Experience in industrial / warehouse / commercial steel projects

• Ability to read structural and fabrication drawings

• Knowledge of UAE site practices and safety regulations

• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):

• Experience with PEB / Heavy steel structures

• Knowledge of bolting, welding standards, and erection tolerances

• Familiar with crane lifting plans and erection sequencing
