Structural & Mechanical Design Engineer – Doors & Architectural System FAHAM DOORS INDUSTRIES CO. L.L.C

We are seeking a Structural & Mechanical Design Engineer to take full responsibility for the engineering validation, structural design, and force calculations of our door systems and architectural products. This role is critical to ensuring that very large-format doors, aluminum exterior doors, interior doors, wall cladding systems, and any future products are safe, compliant, durable, and optimized for manufacturing and real-world use. The engineer will define the structural logic behind each product, calculate loads and stresses, validate hardware and fixing systems, and ensure full compliance with relevant European and international standards.

Key Responsibilities Structural & Mechanical Engineering • Perform structural analysis and force calculations for: o Very large and heavy doors o Aluminum exterior doors o Interior doors (hinged, pivot, flush-to-wall) o Wall cladding and architectural systems • Calculate: o Self-weight loads o Wind loads o Opening/closing forces o Deflection limits o Fatigue and long-term performance • Design and validate: o Door leaf structures o Frames and subframes o Reinforcements (steel/aluminum/composite) o Fixing and anchoring systems to walls and slabs

Product Development & Validation

-Define engineering rules and limits for product configurations (size, weight, material).

-Approve:

o Maximum door dimensions

o Maximum allowable weights per hinge or pivot system

-Support prototype development and testing:

o Lab testing

o Field performance validation

-Prepare:

o Technical reports

o Calculation notes

o Engineering drawings and specifications

Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with: o Industrial design o Manufacturing and CNC teams o Hardware suppliers (hinges, pivots, automation) o External consultants or testing laboratories • Translate engineering results into clear guidelines for designers and production teams. Future Product Engineering • Establish a repeatable engineering framework for all future products. • Evaluate new materials, systems, and construction methods. • Participate in innovation and value engineering initiatives.
