About the Role:

A leading Travel and Tourism company in Jumeirah Lake Towers is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional proficiency in Tally Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel, and an in-depth understanding of financial principles and practices. This role is integral to ensuring the financial health of the organization through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements.

Accounting Operations:

· Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

· Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings accurately and on time.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

· Monitor and report on variances between actual results and budgeted figures.

· Contribute to the budgeting process and track actual performance against budgeted figures.

· Assist in forecasting activities by analyzing trends and making recommendations for future financial planning.

Taxation and Compliance:

· Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT returns and other statutory obligations.

· Maintain compliance with UAE tax regulations and company policies.

Software Management:

· Utilize Tally Accounting Software for all accounting transactions and financial reporting.

· Leverage Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.

Audit and Reconciliation:

· Lead internal and external audit preparations, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and accurate.

· Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial instruments.

Process Improvement:

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

· Stay updated on the latest accounting practices and software advancements.
