Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessment of current Merchant Acquiring and Payment product portfolio and competitive positioning
- Develop strategic roadmap for product enhancements, new service offerings, and market expansion
- Implement comprehensive strategies to scale merchant customer base and transaction volumes
- Develop and execute targeted customer acquisition strategies across various merchant segments (SME, Enterprise, E-commerce)
- Create and manage strategic partnership programs, payment facilitators, and technology providers
- Lead market intelligence initiatives to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats
- Define product requirements and specifications aligned with aggressive growth objectives
- Establish comprehensive product performance metrics and KPI frameworks
- Support the strategic planning initiatives including business case development and ROI analysis
- Design and execute market entry strategies for new customer segments and geographical regions
- Lead and execute critical portfolio and special initiatives, developing action plans to drive commercial standardization across segments.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in evaluating opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Own and drive key product initiatives, including product enhancements and new product rollouts.
- Responsible for product implementation and go-to-market strategy, working closely with Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Define business, functional, technical, and commercial requirements and develop business cases for commercial sign-off and prioritization.
- Proactively assess new product and VAS partners, coordinating approvals with key internal stakeholders.
- Act as product owner for assigned initiatives/products, including pre-sales product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs.
- Support front-end campaigns and participate in client and internal meetings as a pre-sales consultant when required.
- Prepare sales toolkits, customized commercial offers, proposals, and client correspondence to support business development.
- Update and draft product manuals, policies, and departmental governance documentation in line with audit checklists and internal controls.
- Act as a key point of contact between the client and product/technology partners to resolve operational and service-related issues.
- Monitor partner and supplier performance and manage ongoing external relationships.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, credit, regulatory, and internal governance requirements, including KSA banking regulations.
- Provide monthly analytics, MI, and intelligence reports to Product and senior management teams.
- Maintain regular interaction across internal departments to support business delivery and operational strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency across initiatives.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum Bachelors degree from a reputable institution; Postgraduate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the corporate sector, preferably in Payments, Remittances, Banking, or Fintech.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience using MI, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with the KSA regulatory framework for banks and financial institutions.
- Proven experience in product commercialization within the payments ecosystem (e.g., wallets, virtual accounts, acquiring products).
- Strong technical knowledge, including experience working with integration APIs, IT, and operations teams.
- Experience managing external suppliers and partners and working within a matrix organization across geographies.
- Experience working in SCRUM / Agile environments; familiarity with project management applications and CRM tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, hyper-logical thinker with a strong track record of execution and achievement.
- Self-driven, accountable, and able to break down complex problems into actionable components.
- UX/UI experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Fintech experience is an advantage
