ALM Methods and Technology Engineer Thales

Main responsibilities

1. Design & CAD
: Create or modify 3D models;
propose design adaptations to the constraints of the LPBF (DFAM) process
; verify the consistency between functional requirements and manufacturability

2. Preparation of parts for LPBF printing
: Define the optimal orientation of the parts;
Design and configure the supports;
Prepare the builds (nesting, platform placement);
Identify the risks (deformation, thermal, defects)

3. Creation of manufacturing ranges
: Write complete operational ranges
; Define the resources, tools and sequences
; Standardize practices

4. Process Analysis & Improvement:
Analyze manufacturing results;
Participate in identifying root causes;
Propose improvement actions;
Utilize data (Excel, Python, Power BI)

5. Production support & field presence
Regular presence in the workshop
Support for operators
Analysis of field problems
Adaptation of ranges
Participation in non-conformities
Accessible technical reference
The position requires a strong field presence and close collaboration with the production teams.
