Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Engineer (with BIM experience) with 5 to 10 years of construction experience to oversee architectural design, coordination, and execution for projects in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will ensure architectural works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Prepare shop drawings, architectural details, and material submittals
• Coordinate design changes and revisions with consultants and project teams
• Ensure compliance with Estidama, ADCD, ADM/DMT, and other Abu Dhabi authority requirements

Coordination & Site Support

• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, and interior teams
• Resolve RFIs, design conflicts, and site coordination issues
• Support site teams with technical guidance and problem-solving
• Attend coordination meetings and site inspections

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure architectural works comply with QA/QC procedures and approved ITPs
• Monitor construction quality, materials, and workmanship standards
• Assist in consultant inspections, authority approvals, and compliance checks

Handover & Close-Out

• Support preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
• Assist in handover packages, O&M manuals, and authority submissions
• Ensure final architectural deliverables reflect actual site conditions

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience in architectural engineering in construction projects
• Strong experience in Abu Dhabi projects
• Exposure to residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use projects

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
• Knowledge of Estidama, Abu Dhabi authorities, and local building regulations
• Ability to prepare accurate shop drawings, submittals, and material specifications

Competencies

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with construction methods and sequencing

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with main contractors, PMC, or consultants in Abu Dhabi
• Hands-on site experience with consultant and authority inspections
• Ability to review shop drawings, architectural details, and material submissions
