u>Responsibilities and Duties:/u>

1- Safety & compliance duties:

  • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with the Company s QHSSE policies, Zero Tolerance policy, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices, and complies with the ADES WAY, rules to live by.
  • Will be a champion of Safety, providing exemplary leadership and commitment to all safety initiatives within the business.
  • Places Safety as a true north, while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Will ensure that safety protocols are always adhered to.

2- Rig move & related activities:

  • Assists the Barge Engineer in preparing for rig move operations, including jacking, floating, and preloading activities, ensuring compliance with rig move preparation checklists.
  • Monitors weather forecasts and conditions to support planning of safe rig move windows, including preload periods.
  • Verifies that the drilling package and cantilever are properly secured in accordance with the rig s operational procedures and manuals.
  • Ensures cranes and loose equipment are properly secured following best seamanship practices, including securing watertight doors and hatches during rig moves.
  • Ensures towing gear is available, properly maintained, certified, and ready for operation; identify and report any missing or spare equipment requirements.
  • Ensures mooring winches, where installed, are properly maintained and operationally ready.
  • Performs watertight integrity checks to ensure vessel safety during rig movement operations.

3- Rig stability and load compliance:

  • Ensures accurate daily monitoring of rig loading conditions and availability of fuel and water supplies.
  • Assists the Barge Engineer in calculating and verifying daily load criteria to maintain safe operating limits.
  • Ensures deck loads remain within approved limits in accordance with rig design specifications and the rig operations manual.

4- Lifting Operations:

  • Assists in the loading, unloading, and movement of all cargo, including oversight of critical and complex crane lifting operations and personnel transfers both onboard and offboard the unit.
  • Liaises and coordinates with the drilling crew to ensure safe and efficient execution of operational activities.
  • Assigns crew members to support drilling operations as required to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensures assigned personnel are properly instructed and familiar with applicable procedures and responsibilities in case of emergencies.

5- Operational safety & emergency response:

  • Follows ADES management procedures and Controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Participates as a member of the rig s Emergency Response Team in accordance with the Emergency Plan and company procedures.
  • Commits not to engage in unsafe actions and to use Time Out for Safety (TOFS) when needed to prevent incidents by actively
  • Actively participates in the "SHIELD" Program. Any incident must be reported to the supervisor immediately.
  • Participates in HSE Meetings, weekly and pre-tour meetings, Emergency Drills, and Health & Safety plan implementation.
  • Understands responsibilities and authority levels documented in the Health, Safety and Environment Policies and Requirements Manual.
  • Ensures that all activities, including those of third-party contractors, are conducted using safe working practices.
  • Follows his role on abandon-ship, firefighting, injured personnel, emergency & lifesaving situations, as per the station bill.
  • Responsible for maintaining the condition and certification of all firefighting and lifesaving equipment.

6- Inspections and certifications:

  • Participates in various inspection and survey activities in accordance with Class and statutory requirements and any other local/country/authority or regulatory body surveys.

7- Materials and equipment:

  • Monitors all preventive maintenance activity for marine, helideck, navigation, firefighting, lifesaving equipment onboard the unit and report deviation from timely execution of such maintenance and ensure that all lifting equipment are certified and kept in good working condition.
  • Liaises with the OIM and maintenance department to ensure incorporation of maintenance/repairs, Class, and other audits outstanding recommendations works.
  • Performs hull and tank painting annual plans and reviews completion quarterly.

8- Helicopter operations:

  • Ensures that the Helicopter operations occur safely & according to the aviation authorities, standards & regulations and maintain valid certification for the helideck.

9- Operational housekeeping and safety:

  • Ensures that the work areas are clean and orderly prepared, free of hazards prior to & upon completion of the work, task, or repairs by the deck crew.
  • Directs the dispose of the debris as per the company hazardous material segregations policy / waste management policy.

10- People Management and development:

  • Provides clear instructions to his team regarding their duties, responsibilities, and any necessary safety precautions prior to commencing work.
  • Mentors, develops and trains his team to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Identifies opportunities for skill and career advancement, works to support the professional growth of their team.
  • Ensures his team receives the necessary training required to perform their duties safely and effectively through on-the-job training, classroom training, and participation in safety drills and exercises.
  • Evaluates the performance of their team on constant and fair feedback basis, identify areas for improvement.

الملف الشخصي المطلوب للمرشحين

u>Education & Experience:/u>

  • BSC in Marine Engineering or equivalent Maritime Academy Certificate of Competency (COC) from Maritime Academy.
  • Min 4 years of related experience, preferably working on offshore installations, the same as those owned or operated by the Company.

u>Skills/Competencies Required:/u>

  • Knowledge of rig move procedures including jacking, floating, and preloading operations.
  • Ability to monitor weather forecasts and assess operational windows for safe rig movement.
  • Knowledge of rig stability principles, ballast control, and deck load management.
  • Ability to monitor rig loading conditions and ensure compliance with rig design limits.
  • Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations, emergency response procedures, and station bill responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with offshore safety programs such as TOFS and safety observation systems.
  • Knowledge of helicopter landing procedures and helideck operational requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance programs for marine equipment, navigation systems, firefighting equipment, and lifesaving appliances.
  • Awareness of environmental protection requirements during offshore operations.
  • Maintains high attention to detail when following procedures, checklists, and operational guidelines.
  • Ability to guide and supervise crew members during operational activities.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and take timely corrective actions.
  • Commitment to mentoring junior personnel and improving team competency.
