Assistant Professor- Computer Science & Engineering with Artificial
Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Candidates should have teaching and research expertise in all core areas of Computer Science and

Computer Engineering with focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics background. Candidates
in Computer Science and Engineering with focus in Cyber Security will also be considered.

Successful candidates are expected to have:

• PhD, MSc and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from a reputed

international accredited University listed in https://nbaq.edu.kw/search/index-en.html.

• Must show proven experience, corresponding to the level of the position, in teaching and
research.

• Participate actively and contribute meaningfully to workgroup/committee/ project/task
assignments and co-operate with the Heads of Department and other teachers in the
preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programs,
methods of teaching, and assessment.

• To teach undergraduate classes in a multicultural setting, demonstrate a commitment to
inclusion, and contribute to collegial, supportive, and collaborative work environments.

• Contribute to student evaluation, counseling, and support operations.

• Contribute to testing, assessment design, and administration along with curriculum
development.

• Ability to adapt to and participate in different cultures and learning environments.

• Willing to pursue high-quality research in their area of specialization.

• Must have published research articles in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Experience in teaching in higher education, preferably within a variety of international settings
and/or with Arab learners.

• Ability to adapt to and participate in different cultures and learning environments.

• Must show proven experience, corresponding to the level of the position in teaching.

• Sound experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing academic curricula for English
Language courses.

• Proficient in computer skills.

• Experience in departmental administration is preferred.

• Professional attitude towards work and colleagues.

• Ability to contribute to an innovative and challenging academic instructional program.

• Experience in securing external research funding would be an asset.

• Experience in the supervision of students’ projects.

• Professional attitude towards work and colleagues.

• Experience in teaching in the Middle East and GCC preferably and acute awareness of cross-
cultural differences in the worlds of teaching and learning.
