Assistant Resident Engineer (Softscape)

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer (Softscape) (Arabic Speaker) to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the successful delivery of all softscape works associated with the AT Grade Cycle Track Project in Abu Dhabi, in full compliance with project specifications and local authority requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Possess extensive knowledge about the Ghaf and other trees relocation.

• Supervise and monitor all hardscape activities.

• Supervise and monitor all softscape activities along the cycle track corridor, including planting, irrigation, and soil works.

• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and Abu Dhabi Municipality and DMT requirements.

• Coordinate closely with the contractor, designer, and stakeholders to ensure proper integration with cycle track and infrastructure works.

• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress, quality, and compliance reports.

• Verify quantities and support in the assessment of variations and contractor submissions.

• Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems.

• Monitor plant establishment and maintenance during the defect liability period to ensure sustainability.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor s degree in Landscape Architecture, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 10 years of relevant experience in softscape/landscape supervision, preferably in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, plant species ,trees relocation, hardscape, and soil specifications.

• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi standards, DMT requirements, and sustainability practices.

• Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.

• Communication skills in Arabic is must.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience in cycle track, public realm, or streetscape projects in Abu Dhabi.

• Knowledge of Estidama / sustainability guidelines.

• Professional certifications in landscaping, irrigation, or project management are an advantage.
