Job Description ATE ENGINEER
2. ROLE PURPOSE:
• To maintain availability and integrity of equipment through planned and preventative
maintenance of all ATE or ATM systems and equipment at Dubai (DXB) or Al Maktoum (DWC)
International Airports and Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) or off airport sites, by
employing the policy, procedures and processes detailed within the CNS Exposition and CNS
Operations Manual ensuring minimal disruption to the ATS Operation
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE
• Carry out maintenance of CNS/ATM systems and equipment at DXB, DWC or EFTA in
accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, GCAA Civil Aviation
Regulations and the processes and procedures contained in the CNS Exposition and
Operations Manual
• Perform Level 1 and 2 scheduled maintenances on systems they are competent on
assigned by Line
Managers to ensure continuous operation of CNS services
• Perform unscheduled maintenance and fault rectification on systems they are competent
on assigned by Line Managers
• Apply tactical adaptations or configuration changes via published MOC processes on
request by stakeholders to support their Operational efficiency
SAFETY
• Take an active role in the completion of all CNS Safety Objectives
• Comply with dans Safety and Quality Management System. Carry out all SQWG activities to
ensure safety and quality standards are maintained and incrementally improved over time,
adjusting focus when the group notes any change
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
• Contributes to Stakeholder and Customer Service levels through awareness of and
compliance with SLA’s, utilise SLA processes when coordinating with external ANSP’s and
other colleagues
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
• Carry out OJTI activities during the year to maintain currency if held
• Maintain personal airport driving permit (ADP) at level necessary for their area of
responsibility up to L4
• Maintain Fire Warden or First Aid qualifications as assigned by Line Managers
• Progress all technical skills and soft skills necessary for post as assigned by Line Managers
• Progress any succession activities required for promotion or uplift in line with personal
expectation
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
• Ensures quality of data input to management systems is highly accurate to support the
department KPI reporting
• Documents all activities in line with personnel model to show individual performance and
productivity
• Assist the effectiveness of all technical resources (TME, Tools, specialist parts) ensuring
calibration or other functions enhance the Test and Measuring capability. Seek innovation in
products for this purpose.
5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge & Experience:
• The post holder shall have as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in
Electronics
Engineering from a recognized University, Training Establishment, or have equivalent and
relevant
Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a CNS/ATM maintenance environment
• Experience operating basic and advanced test and measuring instrumentation is
advantageous
