Automation Field Engineer (T&C) DART ENGINEERING WLL

Job Purpose The Automation Field Engineer (T&C) is responsible for on-site testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of industrial automation systems. The role focuses strictly on field execution and customer-facing technical delivery, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, accurately, and on schedule.

This role does NOT include program development as a primary responsibility

Key Responsibilities

Site Testing & Commissioning

• Perform site testing, loop checking, I/O verification, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

• Execute FAT/SAT support, site modifications, and final handover activities.

• Interface with field instruments, MCC panels, VFDs, soft starters, and control panels.

• Carry out signal testing, interlock verification, and functional testing.

Customer & Site Coordination

• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and main contractors during commissioning.

• Attend site meetings and provide technical clarifications and progress updates.

• Support shutdowns, breakdowns, and urgent service calls when required.

Documentation & Compliance

• Update as-built drawings, I/O test sheets, commissioning checklists, and handover documents.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and approved documents.

• Follow company HSE practices strictly at site.
