Role Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will have full executive accountability for leading the company s strategy, operations, financial performance, and stakeholder relationships. The role requires a seasoned insurance leader capable of driving profitability, strengthening governance, and positioning the company for long-term growth in a regulated and evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the company s strategic vision and growth agenda

• Lead business planning, market expansion, and performance optimization initiatives

• Drive a strong culture of accountability, compliance, and ethical leadership

Underwriting, Risk & Financial Performance

• Strengthen underwriting discipline, pricing, and portfolio profitability

• Oversee enterprise risk management, solvency, and capital efficiency

• Ensure sustainable financial performance aligned with regulatory requirements

Operations & Governance

• Oversee claims management, operational efficiency, and service quality

• Ensure robust corporate governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance

• Maintain strong relationships with regulators and supervisory authorities

Products & Market Development

• Expand and enhance the insurance product portfolio in line with market demand

• Identify new business opportunities across retail and corporate segments

• Support innovation and product development while managing risk exposure

Stakeholder Management

• Lead senior engagement with reinsurers, brokers, partners, and key clients

• Strengthen regional and international reinsurance relationships

• Represent the company at industry and regulatory forums

People & Organization

• Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing executive and management team

• Drive leadership development, succession planning, and organizational capability

• Health, personal accident, and travel insurance

• Motor, property all risks, fire, and theft insurance

• Engineering and construction insurance

• Transport insurance (marine, land, and air)

• Bankers blanket bond, cash, ATM, and corporate general liability insurance

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background

• Proven experience as CEO, Deputy CEO, General Manager, or equivalent within the insurance sector

• Strong background in general insurance, underwriting, claims, and reinsurance

• Experience operating in regulated, emerging, or frontier markets preferred

• Demonstrated success in driving profitability and organizational growth
