Chief Officer for Engineering Projects

The Chief Officer for Engineering Projects provides strategic leadership for the organization s engineering and technical functions. This role oversees technical planning, engineering governance, project delivery support, and technical advisory services to ensure that all engineering activities align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
The position plays a key role in strengthening engineering performance, maintaining technical standards, managing risk, and supporting the successful execution of large-scale development and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall direction of the engineering and technical functions in line with the organization s strategic goals.
• Oversee engineering studies, technical planning, design review, and project support activities.
• Ensure the consistent application of engineering standards, technical procedures, and quality requirements across projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to leadership, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
• Review and oversee engineering designs, studies, tender documents, and technical reports.
• Monitor technical performance across projects and provide updates, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Identify and manage technical risks that may affect project delivery, compliance, quality, or cost.
• Support project implementation by ensuring alignment with approved designs, technical standards, and relevant regulations.
• Lead and develop technical and engineering teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Oversee the planning and management of departmental budgets, resources, and technical priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes, systems, and project delivery practices.
