The Chief Vehicle Engineer is responsible for the overall management of a vehicle project, from the upstream phases (pre-contract / definition) to the transition to series production and post-launch monitoring.

It ensures the achievement of the project's objectives in terms of Quality, Cost, Time and Performance (QCDP), by coordinating all internal and external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the overall scope of the vehicle project and ensure milestones are met up to the SOP.
• Consolidate and monitor QCDP indicators, identify gaps and manage action plans
• Structuring, leading and guiding the project team (technical, quality, planning, cost)
• Ensuring alignment of stakeholders and arbitrating competing constraints (technical, economic, scheduling)
• Manage project communication and ensure clear reporting to decision-making bodies
• Identify, anticipate and manage project risks and deviations, including in crisis situations
• Ensure the overall consistency of the vehicle (architecture, system integration, product/process convergence)
• Ensure coordination with the engineering, quality, industrialization, purchasing and supplier teams
• Validate the preparation for industrial launch and the transition to series production
• Oversee the handling of quality issues in series production and ensure the closure of open topics
• Ensuring consistency between projects within a program (carry-over, pooling, standardization)
