PURPOSE OF DUTY:

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, and selling products within the Alain Ducasse Chocolat shop. This role is crucial for ensuring a high-quality customer experience that aligns with the luxury and prestige of the Alain Ducasse brand.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service:

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, ingredients, and any special offers.

Assist customers in making selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions, and providing opinions.

Sales:

Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.

Process sales transactions at the POS (point of sale) system with accuracy and efficiency.

Cross-sell and upsell products to increase purchase amounts.

Inventory and Merchandising:

Participate in the receiving and stocking of merchandise.

Ensure that the sales floor is well-maintained, which includes stocking shelves, arranging displays, and keeping the store clean and attractive.

Conduct regular inventory counts to help prevent stock discrepancies.

Product Knowledge:

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products sold in the store, including new items and promotions.

Attend training and information sessions on new products, features, and promotions to remain informed and effective in sales efforts.

Administrative Support:

Assist in administrative tasks such as maintaining records, handling cash, and preparing sales reports as needed.

Follow store policies regarding the handling of returns and exchanges.

HR & Training:

Attend all training sessions related to Culinary & products

Professional Values:

Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Show a keen interest in learning about Alain Ducasse chocolates and effectively share this knowledge with customers.

Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and punctuality in all work duties.

Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code specified by the retail store.

JOB ROLE SPECIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in luxury food, chocolate, or confectionery brands.

Prior experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with high-end clientele.

Experience in upselling and cross-selling premium products.

Background in handling sales transactions, POS systems, and inventory management.

Experience in working in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree or diploma in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications or training in sales, customer service, or food handling is an advantage.

Skills:

Sales & Customer Engagement

Strong sales skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Ability to build rapport with customers and personalize their shopping experience.

Understanding of luxury retail and high-end customer service standards.

Language & Communication

Fluent in English (must) with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Arabic proficiency is highly desirable for engaging with local clientele.

Product Knowledge & Presentation

Passion for chocolates and confectionery, with a willingness to learn about ingredients, flavors, and pairings.

Ability to conduct product tastings and storytelling to enhance customer experience.

Understanding of seasonal promotions, gift packaging, and special event sales.

Sales Techniques & Technology

Ability to drive sales targets through upselling, bundling, and promotional strategies.

Experience using POS systems, CRM software, and basic inventory tracking tools.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability

Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

Quick decision-making skills to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.

Personal Presentation

Professional grooming and attire, representing the luxury chocolate brand.

Strong attention to detail in product presentation and store merchandising.
