Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Engineer located in Manama, Bahrain. The Civil Engineer will support senior engineers in overseeing and executing construction projects, assist with project planning and implementation, and help ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, conducting site inspections, preparing technical reports, and contributing to the timely and cost-effective completion of projects. This position is suited to a motivated engineering graduate with practical site exposure who is eager to develop within a structured, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of civil works at construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Monitor daily and weekly work progress and prepare detailed site reports for project management.

• Organize and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and construction materials to maintain project schedules.

• Carry out quality control checks to ensure all work meets approved drawings and engineering specifications.

• Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, consultants, and the broader project team on technical matters.

• Communicate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding progress updates and technical issues.

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations at the site in accordance with ISO 45001:2018 standards.

• Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction activities across multiple project phases.

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Practical exposure to construction site work through internships, placements, or capstone projects is valued.

• Thorough understanding of site operations, project coordination, and construction methodologies.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and project specifications.

• Knowledge of quality control processes and safety regulations on active construction sites.

• Proficiency in engineering software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).

• Knowledge of stormwater management systems and their implementation is an advantage.

• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour) are highly regarded.

• Professional certifications or licences (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus but not required.
