Consultant / Staff Physician - Pain Medicine

Position Overview A leading Tier-1 hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant / Staff Physician in Pain Medicine to join its multidisciplinary pain management services. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, evidence-based pain assessment and treatment for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, working closely with surgical, medical, and rehabilitation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pain assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients with acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain
• Develop and implement individualized pain management plans, incorporating pharmacologic, interventional, and multidisciplinary approaches
• Perform interventional pain procedures as appropriate (e.g., nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency procedures) within credentialed scope
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, oncology, surgery, rehabilitation, and primary care teams
• Participate in multidisciplinary pain clinics and case discussions
• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to patient education and chronic pain self-management strategies
• Participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as required by the department
• Support teaching, supervision, and CME activities when applicable

Preferred Experience

• Experience in tertiary or multidisciplinary pain centers
• Expertise in interventional pain techniques and multimodal pain management
• Experience managing complex chronic pain and cancer pain cases
• Prior international or Middle East practice experience is advantageous but not required
