Core Network SME – Ericsson EPC & IMS (L2 Operations) StellarIT Solutions

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Network SME with hands-on experience in Ericsson EPC & IMS environments. The role involves managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing core network elements, ensuring high availability, performance, and seamless service delivery for LTE/5G networks. The candidate will play a key role in L2 operations, KPI monitoring, and incident resolution, along with supporting cloud-native core deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Ericsson EPC nodes (MME, SGW, PGW) and IMS components (CSCF, HSS, PCRF).

• Perform L2 operations support, including incident management, fault isolation, and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Monitor network KPIs and ensure SLA compliance through proactive performance management.

• Execute configuration changes, upgrades, and parameter tuning across core network elements.

• Troubleshoot VoLTE/VoNR call flows, including SIP and Diameter signaling issues.

• Conduct log analysis, trace collection, and protocol-level debugging for critical incidents.

• Handle capacity planning and traffic forecasting to ensure scalability and optimal utilization.

• Support virtualized and cloud-native core deployments using VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with RAN, Transport, and vendor teams for end-to-end issue resolution.

• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and audit reports for operations and configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Ericsson EPC & IMS platforms.

• Good understanding of LTE/5G Core architecture and signaling flows.

• Hands-on expertise in Fault, Configuration, Performance, and Capacity Management.

• Knowledge of VoLTE/VoNR, SIP, Diameter, GTP, and IP networking.

• Experience with OSS/ENM tools, Wireshark, and monitoring systems.

• Familiarity with cloud and virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes).

• Ability to handle L2 escalations and work with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Ericsson core network environments (EPC/IMS).

• Exposure to 5G Core (5GC) and cloud-native architectures (CNF/VNF).

• Knowledge of automation/scripting (Shell, Python) is a plus.

Experience:

• 3–8+ years in Telecom Core Network (EPC/IMS Operations)
