Delivery Manager Danube Building Materials FZE

Role Objective To lead last-mile delivery and distribution operations for a high-volume furniture retail business, ensuring on-time delivery, controlled costs, and superior customer experience. The role requires a field-driven leader with strong system and analytics orientation.

Key Responsibilities

Last-Mile Execution

• Own planning, routing, dispatch, installation schedule, and execution of large-scale deliveries across UAE.

• Manage in-house fleet and third-party partners with strong SLA governance.

• Drive first-attempt delivery success and reduce rescheduling, cancellations, and escalations.

Technology Ownership

• Lead usage and optimization of Far Eye or similar last-mile delivery platforms.

• Ensure seamless integration between WMS, ERP, and delivery apps.

• Monitor live dashboards, PODs, driver productivity, and customer satisfaction surveys.

CX & Cost Control

• Own KPIs including:

  • On-time delivery rate

  • Cost per delivery

  • Fleet & manpower utilization

  • Customer complaints & NPS drivers

  • Overall last mile delivery cost control

  • Optimize routing, load planning, fuel usage, and partner performance.

  • Drive reverse logistics and returns efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for automation & manpower optimization.

Leadership & Governance

• Lead routing, dispatch, and field execution teams.

• Manage 3PLs through scorecards, penalties, and performance reviews.

• Partner closely with CX, warehouse, and commercial teams.

• Build accountability culture across drivers and supervisors.
