The Essaouira branch includes: a language course centre (1,200 learners), a media library with youth/adult/co-working spaces, a multipurpose room/exhibition space.

Under the authority of the Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, Director General of the French Institute of Morocco (IFM), the Deputy Director leads, organizes, and manages the Essaouira branch.

In this context, you will need to:

• Implement the guidelines defined by the embassy's action plan in the areas of cultural cooperation: French language, support for human capital, ICC;
• develop, propose and drive the establishment's strategy in conjunction with the COCAC/Director of the French Institute of Morocco within the framework of the IFM's establishment project: youth, French language and certifications, professionalization of actors and co-productions, digital, presence in the public space, ecological transition;
• prepare the branch's budget, manage staff and local social dialogue;
• Manage and develop the French language course center, certifications and French for specific purposes (FOS) (active outreach to companies);
• Ensure follow-up with Campus France in conjunction with the national coordinator;
• Ensure the monitoring of educational cooperation in conjunction with the regional coordinator;
• Seeking funding and raising funds from public and private donors in coordination with the management of the French Institute of Morocco;
• Coordinate the branch's activities with those of the 11 other branches of the French Institute in Morocco in the fields of culture, communication, and French language);
• Contribute to the development of national cultural programming, design complementary local programming and coordinate its implementation with the IF team;
• Establish close relationships with professional networks and local authorities in order to promote the establishment;
• Establish cultural and educational partnerships with local institutions;
• Coordinate the branch's communication strategy, according to the national strategy, with local specificities and the IF team;
• Prepare and submit regular activity reports;
• Manage risks and ensure compliance with safety instructions
