Participate in the development of strategic plan and budget for the department led by the Director

• Prepare Monthly Action Plan for the entire department in alignment with the strategic plan
• Monitor all the sections and follow up with each department and colleges and CPS
• Attend meetings of the department and report on the follow of the task assigned
• Checking daily backups, system interfaces, server hardware and logs.
• Assists CNC staff in daily tasks, trains them on theoretical and practical procedures, troubleshooting, and supports them within corporate standards.
• Claim suppliers for any software/hardware conflicts and follow up on all claims forwarded to CNC.
• Supervise and ensure proper functioning of the IT support helpdesk system.
• Document and archive all correspondence and troubleshooting; follow up on suppliers visits and maintenance.
• Develop and adapt ideas that enhance IT services with the approval of the Director.
• Analyze, design, test, install, maintain, and document computer systems.
• Guide CNC staff in the installation and maintenance of computers across laboratories and requested locations.
• Assist in administering University computing resources including:
  
  • VMware vSphere infrastructure and virtual machines
  • Oracle Servers and Databases (including SIS, HR, Finance)
  • Linux servers and systems
  • Microsoft Exchange Servers, FTP, Active Directory, DNS, Cluster Servers
  • Fortinet firewall and network security systems
  • Kaspersky antivirus systems and updates
  • Koha / Virtua Library System and other applications
• Provide and write technical requests for proposals (RFP) and recommendations for the procurement of new computers and IT accessories.
• Ensure implementation and monitoring of security procedures to protect systems from intrusions, breaches, viruses, unauthorized access, and data loss. Ensure up-to-date compatibility and regular system updates.
• Manage the University s IP telephony system and advise the Director on the required improvements.
• Assist with development and review of IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate on programming projects and automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) to improve operational efficiency.
• Support advanced networking configurations and services (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs).
• Perform any other task as assigned by the Director.
• Act as acting director in the absence of the director of CNC.
