Job Purpose:

The Development Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all the activities, processes and operations within the Business Development function, including R&D activities, and providing support and assistance to Development Managers and Development Director as and when required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support with Identifies new projects, including new geographies, and ensures that newly identified opportunities are in line with risk management and diversification strategies.
• Reviews the detailed proposals for new projects to facilitate approval by executive management.
• Support with Identifies and establishes new clients for potential business opportunities and maintains strong and close relationships with existing clients.
• Reviews and recommends bids methodologies and schedules and provide information to ensure full preparation of bid package.
• Partners with Development Managers to develop, communicate, and implement service strategies to be executed by designated Managers.
• Assist in preparing RFP tender documentation in relation to pricing including instructions, general and special conditions and requirements, measurements, bills of quantity, specifications, and drawings.
• Support Estimating & Bidding function in proposal preparation, development, and submission.
• Support with Plans and oversees market research, analysis, and assessment to provide support to company business development and any other research needs of departments.
• Provides input and analysis to ensure competitiveness of services in specific markets and segments, to assist in achieving the anticipated growth targets for the company.
• Contributes to defining and improving company services through market analysis, sales information, and specialized surveys.
• Supports in financial feasibility of projects and provides inputs and feedback.
• Participates in the development and evaluation of improved techniques and methodologies in the construction industry through managing Research and Design activities within the department or through external service providers.
• Monitors new technical and environmental regulations and policies issued by the concerned regulators
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by Development Manager or Development Director.
