Job Duties:

• Develop initial electrical system designs based on project requirements and client specifications.
• Create comprehensive electrical drawings, including schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams for power distribution, lighting, communication systems, and control systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other electrical design software to draft, modify, and finalize drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical designs with architectural and structural plans.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities for electrical components, including cables, fixtures, control devices, and other materials.
• Provide accurate cost estimates based on BOQ and market rates.
• Ensure that BOQ items match the specifications and requirements of the project.
• Cross-check quantities against design documents and site conditions to avoid discrepancies.
• Develop technical specifications for electrical equipment, materials, and workmanship standards.
• Examine and review project documents, including contracts, technical drawings, and specifications, to ensure they align with project objectives and standards.
• Manage and document any changes or revisions to specifications and design documents.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical data, product samples, and compliance certificates.
• Validate and verify that electrical designs meet project requirements and are feasible for implementation.
• Analyze project documents for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Ensure that electrical designs and installations comply with industry codes and safety standards.
• Implement quality control procedures for electrical works, including material and workmanship inspections.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including design drawings, BOQ, specifications, and compliance records.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on design progress, BOQ updates, and specification compliance.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input.
• Oversee the creation of as-built drawings to reflect any modifications or changes during construction.
• Review contracts and tenders for technical specifications related to electrical systems.
• Analyze tender documents to ensure the accuracy of technical requirements and BOQ.
• Assist in preparing technical responses and clarifications for tender submissions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Address technical issues and discrepancies in project documents and provide solutions.
