KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES

Supervision

• Plan and supervise all activities in the assigned area to meet all performance objectives

• Participate in programs for innovation and continuous improvement in pursuit of greater productivity and better efficiency

• Train, motivate and build a successful maintenance team to ensure delivery of services to the full standards of proficiency

Policies, Processes and Procedures

• Supervise the implementation of all maintenance policies, processes and procedures to reduce maintenance costs or improve the productivity of the department

Budgets and Operational Plans

• Provide inputs to the section head for the development of budgets and work plans

• Allocate manpower resources to assignments and develop schedules in order to deliver the section objectives

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

• Promote and follow all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines

• Follow safe and efficient work methods using proper equipment, tools and protective clothing specified for the job to avoid personal injury, equipment and product damage

Reports

• Provide Management with accurate and timely performance reports, as required

Total Productive Maintenance

• Initiate and implement Total Productive Maintenance methodology and Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts to assure reliability and optimum utilization of the assets

• Support development work e.g. process improvement, machine upgrades etc. to enhance productivity

• Conduct studies to identify areas for improving equipment efficiency

Preventive Maintenance

• Plan and support the implementation of planned preventive maintenance programs to reduce maintenance costs and maintain planned operational productivity

• Integrate the master maintenance plan, preventive maintenance schedules with the production plan to optimize machine reliability

Condition Based Maintenance

• Implement condition monitoring programs on applicable assets to predict potential failure of machinery and equipment

• Plan and supervise the implementation of condition based maintenance followed by corrective maintenance in order to minimize downtime of machinery and equipment

Spare Parts

• Liaise with stores for the procurement of spare parts to ensure adequate availability of the spare parts

Outsourced Services

• Liaise with contractors for maintenance services outside the scope of in-plant services

• Identify the most suitable contractors, in coordination with Asset Management, for outsourcing maintenance activities to ensure the best quality service is delivered at the best cost

ERP system

• Oversee the maintenance of records in Asset Management software in line with the Internal, ISO and BASEC standards and requirements to provide required data for decision making

• Organize the Maintenance Database on the ERP to track all maintenance actions

• Ensure purchase requests are raised through the ERP system to ensure timely processing

General Maintenance

• Plan, organize and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all required work is done to all Ducab Assets on time and delivered to the required standard

Continuous Improvement

• Keep updated on latest developments in maintenance of manufacturing machinery in order to suggest cost effective improvements in technology and processes

Root Cause Analysis

• Guide the conduct of trouble shooting and root cause analysis to study maintenance failures and prepare recommendations to avoid recurring failures

• Investigate potential problems to find cost effective solutions
