Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing and commissioning activities for MV and HV electrical systems including transformers, RMUs, switchgear, and power cables

• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests such as insulation resistance (IR), winding resistance (WR), turns ratio (TTR), contact resistance, tan delta, VLF, AC/DC high voltage testing, and functional checks

• Conduct advanced transformer diagnostic tests including SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis), magnetizing current, vector group verification, and core balance tests

• Execute protection relay testing, configuration, and programming for various schemes including differential protection, restricted earth fault (REF), overcurrent, earth fault, busbar protection, and line protection

• Perform relay logic verification, secondary injection testing, trip circuit supervision, and end-to-end scheme checks using test equipment such as Omicron, Megger, and equivalent systems

• Carry out testing and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, CVTs, battery chargers, synchronizing panels, and control systems

• Perform cable testing including continuity, insulation resistance, sheath integrity, and high voltage withstand testing

• Review and interpret SLDs, schematics, protection drawings, and control logic diagrams to ensure correct installation and functionality

• Prepare method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), risk assessments, and detailed test reports in compliance with SEC, IEC, and project specifications

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams including SEC, Saudi Aramco, Sabic, Maaden, and Royal Commission for approvals, inspections, and system energization

• Lead site activities including troubleshooting, fault analysis, punch point clearance, and final commissioning handover

• Support project execution activities including installation supervision, site engineering coordination, and construction interface

• Assist in estimation, BOQ validation, technical bid preparation, and project planning when required

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality procedures, and project timelines throughout all testing and commissioning activities
