1. Monitor and record electrical parameters of running turbines.

2. Monitor and log values of HT & LT switchgear, HT transformers, and motors.

3. Ensure safe electrical isolation procedures are followed before allowing preventive maintenance by other departments.

4. Maintain detailed records of all equipment readings for tracking, analysis, or supervisory review.

5. Properly hand over shift responsibilities to the incoming electrician, providing updates on equipment status, abnormalities, and job progress (pending and completed).

6. Maintain and execute the preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.

7. Troubleshoot faults and perform necessary repairs to minimise downtime.

8. Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.

9. Motors: Ensure all motors operate smoothly without abnormal noise. Perform preventive maintenance as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

10. Switchgear and Starters: Inspect the healthiness of contactors and proper functioning of relays connected to respective motors. Carry out preventive maintenance as per SOP.

11. VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives): Monitor drive load, check for abnormal sounds, overheating, or fault indicators. Execute preventive maintenance in line with SOP.

12. Lighting Systems: Ensure proper and functional lighting in all assigned areas.

13. Transformers: Regularly monitor plant transformer parameters and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.

14. Cranes: Ensure all cranes are in safe operating condition and compliant with safety standards.

15. Review the daily electrical report to align with shift priorities.

16. Follow the preventive maintenance schedule and ensure completion of planned tasks.

17. Inspect all running equipment, complete assigned log sheets, and report any abnormalities or irregularities to the supervisor or engineer.
