We follow the 2014 National Curriculum of England alongside the 2025 EYFS Statutory Framework and offer GCSE, iGCSE, iAS and iA Levels through Cambridge, AQA and Edexcel.

We are currently working towards BSO accreditation, which will enable us to offer a UK-recognised ECT induction programme in partnership with ESP Education from August 2026.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Have the potential to offer English Language or English Literature at A Level
  • Inspire a love of reading and the study of English
  • Contribute to extracurricular provision
  • Support curriculum innovation and enrichment
  • Play an active role in the wider school community

Required Qualificationsbr

UK training with QTS or experience teaching ENC in the UK or overseas is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.

We require one of the following sets of qualifications:

A BEd in English preferably with a recognised teaching licence (e.g. QTS or equivalent)

A Bachelor s Degree in English (or a closely related subject, e.g. Journalism) plus

  • a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/PGDE) or
  • a recognised teaching licence (e.g. QTS or equivalent)

A Master s Degree in English (or a closely related subject, e.g. Linguistics) plus

  • one year of documented teaching experience in English in a secondary school setting

A Bachelor s Degree in Education in any specialism (e.g. BA English Education) plus

  • a recognised teaching qualification in Secondary English, or
  • a valid teaching licence in Secondary English, or
  • one year of documented teaching experience in English in a secondary setting

A Bachelor s Degree in any specialism plus

  • a recognised teaching qualification in English (e.g. PGCE Secondary English) or
  • a valid teaching licence in English (e.g. QTS)

A Bachelor s Degree in any subject area plus

  • a recognised teaching qualification in any subject, or
  • a valid teaching licence in any subject, and one year of documented teaching experience in English in a secondary school setting

(In line with ADEK regulations, post-qualification experience is no longer mandatory.)

The successful applicant will be required to submit two supporting references and a recent police clearance

Candidates who have taught or trained in the UK must submit two supporting references, a Basic DBS and ICPC, both less than three months old.
