Equipment and Tools Engineer

The equipment and tools engineer's main responsibilities will be to:

• Consolidate the need with the requester by taking into account all aspects (costs, quality, deadlines, functionalities, performance, location, HSE and ergonomics)
• R digest the size specifications
• Establish the development plan for the means, including defining the make-or-buy decision for the implementation of the testing equipment.
• For significant external projects: establish specifications, participate in the consultation and selection of suppliers related to purchasing
• Managing progress (costs, quality, deadlines)
• Manage the design and manufacturing of testing equipment: ensure the supply of necessary materials and services while respecting quality, cost, and deadlines.
• Validate the test equipment: define the control and validation procedures for the test equipment and perform the integration and acceptance tests of the equipment after installation
• Set up the test equipment: coordinate internal or external interventions
• Manage the qualification of resources with support from the product teams
• Participate in user training and technical support during commissioning
• Provide and archive all technical documentation for the equipment, including procedures for maintaining it in operational condition.
• Manage the configuration of the specific testing equipment, resources and tools.
• Based on the stated measurement needs and the expected measurement uncertainty, define the instrumentation, acquisition methods, and associated processing methods to be implemented.
• To monitor technological developments regarding the state of the art in specific tools
• D. Develop measurement/production methods for specific needs

• Ensure the design and implementation of the specific testing equipment/tooling.
• Provide the client with the necessary equipment and associated documentation, and ensure technical support after installation.
• In the context of a subcontracting/co-contracting trial, manage the service provider
• Ensuring compliance with cost, quality, deadlines and safety standards for the testing campaign
• Propose acquisition and measurement methods that meet the needs of the test.
• Carry out the different stages of the instrumentation process (definition, implementation, installation, routing, control and acquisition)
